During the event, Steve Jobs introduced the new device, which sports a screamingly fast dual-core processor, front and back cameras, a thinner design, as well as many other new features. The price and the storage capacity of the device remains unchanged, however, buyers will be offered two color options, black or white. Buyers will also be offered to buy what Apple calls ‘smart covers’, that snaps on the front on the iPad 2 via magnets. The smart covers are designed to protect the iPad display, and come in multiple color options, and material. Steve Jobs also introduced a slew of new dedicated apps, including FaceTime, iMovie, Photo Booth and Garage Band. The iPad 2 will come with iOS 4.3, and will be available for purchase on March 11.
