Apple updated the iPad guided tours section of its website late last night, with a slew of new videos designed to showcase the tablet’s main features and capabilities. The tours are mostly focused on apps, to help potential buyers discover what the tablet is capable of, and offer quick tutorials on how to use basic, as well as more advanced apps, from FaceTime to the brand new iMovie for iPad. Interestingly enough, most videos focus on multimedia capabilities, a major shift from last year’s videos, which were more focused on productivity, with apps such as Pages or Keynote. In other words, while Apple wasn’t exactly sure whether the first generation iPad would be better suited for the home or the office, it is clear that the iPad 2 is advertised as an entertainment powerhouse. The apps featured in the videos – 14 in total – include Facetime, Mail, Safari, iBooks, Videos, Photos, Find My iPad, iPod, iTunes, App Store, Maps, AirPlay, as well as GarageBand and iMovie.
