If you’re in the market for an iPad 2, be ready to wake up early, as all Apple retail locations across the country are currently sold out, and shipments of new units are so small and so random that most stores run out of iPads in a matter of minutes.
According to Examiner
, some Apple retail store employees even recommend potential buyers to show up as early as 4 AM, to have a remote chance of coming back home with the new device.
To be honest, the only way you’re going to have a chance of getting an iPad 2 is to line up starting between 4 – 6 AM. Even then we can’t guarantee we’re going to get a shipment cause they’re are blind shipments and we don’t know till the day of.
Be warned though, Apple stores receive new shipments sporadically, and even if you are the first one in line when your local store opens, it does not necessarily mean you will actually be able to purchase an iPad 2 – over the last couple of days, most folks who showed up early at their local Apple store were eventually told to go back home, as their store did not receive any new iPad 2s.
Nevertheless, if you’re sold on the device and absolutely need one as soon as possible, your best bet is to show up at your local Apple retail location extremely early in the morning, every single day, until it receives a new shipment of iPad 2s.
