Fans of the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six franchise, rejoice, as developer Gameloft finally released the first trailer of its upcoming iPhone game, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard. According to the developer, the game will be “the first real time tactical FPS for iPhone,” and will allow you to control a squad of soldiers, and not just one player, a feat that should make this upcoming tactical first-person shooter a lot more fun to play than most Gameloft FPS. Interestingly enough, Gameloft just released an interactive trailer for the game, as you can interact with the video to see different parts of the game (iOS users, sorry, you can only watch the video, as the interactive piece is reserved to Macs and PCs). The game looks great, extremely fluid, and true to the series – note that this time around, you will be able to control an entire team, and not just one of the soldiers. As for the the plot of the game, it is fairly straightforward, as terrorists have taken over an embassy, and Rainbow Six elite soldiers are sent to take them to custody by any means necessary, and to release the hostages trapped in the building. The developer hasn’t communicated on a potential release date, however the game is expected to hit store shelves within the next couple of weeks.
