Despite Earlier Rumors, Jonathan Ive will not Leave Apple

Despite earlier rumors claiming that Jonathan Ive was planning to leave the U.S. to come back to the UK, a new report published late yesterday confirms that the genius behind the design of all Apple products will neither leave the company, nor come back to his home country. The Daily Mail published a lengthy profile of Apple’s Senior Vice President of Industrial Design, ans reveals that Ive never considered leaving the U.S.:
It is hard to know what is the greater intrigue: recent conjecture that he is preparing to walk away from Apple to relocate to his beautiful Grade II-listed mansion in Somerset so his children can be educated in the UK (false – he is not, and the property is now standing empty) Speculation that Ive would leave Apple to return to the UK is also false, says a former colleague: “I’m not sure there is any truth he wants to come back. My last conversations with him were that he was planning to sell his house in the UK.”
The rumor of Ive leaving Apple was sparked by an article published in the Times of London last month, which reported that Ive was considering selling its Apple stock options, and was planning to come back live in his house in the UK.
