Dress up your new iPad 2 with a Wooden Smart Cover

If the Apple-branded smart covers are just too bland for you, Miniot, a company based in the Netherlands, just released its own version of the smart cover, made out of wood. The cover is incredibly sexy, and functional, as just like the Apple-branded model, it can be folded, and doubles as a stand. The cover comes with the same magnets, allowing it to remain carefully lined up with your device at all times. According to the manufacturer, several options are available, from cherry wood, to walnut and maple. If you’re a fan of wooden accessories, and want a unique cover, the Miniot cover will cost you about $70 – not exactly a bargain, but cheaper than the leather smart cover sold by Apple, and definitely better looking. The company will start taking order as early as tomorrow.
