Final Fantasy III Lands on iPhone – Final Fantasy I & II, Secret of Mana on Sale

Japanese-style RPG fans, rejoice, as Square-Enix just released a new Final Fantasy for the iPhone, Final Fantasy III. First released in 1990, Final Fantasy III was the first title in the Final Fantasy series to become a million-seller, establishing once and for all that Square Enix’s classic RPG saga was here to stay. The game was initially released on the now defunct NES, and was an instant success among gamers worldwide, thanks to a rich story, a large world to explore, and a slew of quests. The iPhone version comes with updated, 3D graphics, and retains the recipe that made the game a success, from the job system that allows characters to change classes, to the ability to summon powerful creatures such as Ramuh and Odin. Overall, the game is very close to the DS version, with a new 3D engine, and updated textures. The game costs a whopping $15.99, more details are available here. To celebrate the launch of Final Fantasy III, and if $15.99 is just too much for you, Square-Enix is currently running a sale, and several of its hits currently cost only $3.99: The staff favorite: Secret of Mana, hands down.
