its 3G iPad sale last week, but this time around, Verizon is the one offering deep discounts on first generation iPads. Verizon retail stores are currently selling the remainder of their WiFi-only first generation iPad inventories, with discounts of up to $200. The 16 GB model now costs $300, the 32 GB model $400, and last but not least, the 64 GB model now sells for $500. Note that the deal is only available at Verizon-owned store, and not at Verizon-branded, independently owned franchises. The devices do not come with 3G connectivity, but users are invited to purchase a Verizon-compatible MiFi access point while at the store, free of charge if they agree to sign up for a 2-year contract. Data plans start at $20 per month for 1 GB of data.
