Earlier today, Twitter updated its iPad app, and added support for the iPad 2’s cameras. Users can now take pictures and videos directly from the app, via a new set of icons, available when users write new tweets.
Two options are available: you can either take a picture or a video on-the-fly, or you can choose a piece of content from your personal library. Once selected, the photo or video will be automatically uploaded to the service of your choice, including yFrog, TwitPic, Lockerz, Twitgoo, TwitVid, Posterous, and many others.
The update also offers a couple of bug fixes that caused crashes for some users, and disabled the location change monitoring service that was causing the compass to appear constantly when using the app.
