Apple just released a new iPhone app today, to allow iPhone users browse a selection of top iAds campaigns launched thus far. At this moment, the app allows you to flick through about a dozen of iAds, and a convenient spinning wheel will let you browse the ads by category, by advertiser, or by ad feature, to discover ads you haven’t seen, or to find those you want to see again. According to Apple, the iAd Gallery “is a celebration of advertising, featuring iAd campaigns from some of the world’s best brands and their advertising agencies. The iAd Gallery gives you easy access to a selection of the fun and informative ads that have run in some of your favorite apps.” Apple plans to update iAd Gallery on a regular basis, and the ads showcased by the app will rotate, depending on their popularity. The app also offers details about the advertising agencies behind the ads. The app is not necessarily for everyone, but developers who actually include iAds into their apps might want to give iAd Gallery a try, as it will allow them to preview the ads that will actually be included in their apps, once launched.
iAd Gallery is free, and can be downloaded here.
