Fans of the Angry Birds franchise, rejoice, as Rovio just announced that Angry Birds Seasons would receive an update for Easter, dubbed “amazing” by the developer. The news came directly from Rovio’s twitter account, via a series of tweets announcing the imminent release of the update. Via subsequent tweets, the developer also confirmed that the Mac version of the game should be out before Summer. At this stage, not much is known about the game, but it is safe to assume that the new version of Angry Birds Seasons should offer about fifteen additional levels, new (Easter) eggs, and new achievements. Angry Birds Seasons Easter Edition will come as a free update to the Angry Birds Seasons app, which already features Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and St.Patrick’s Day themed levels. Note that thanks to this new update, Angry Birds Seasons should offer a whopping 115 levels. As usual, Rovio is doing an excellent job at keeping its apps at the top of the App Store charts, as the developer does not charge existing users for the additional levels, which in turn helps create a buzz around the game, and convince people who do not own the game to try it out. Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone is available on the App Store for $0.99, while Angry Birds Seasons HD for iPad is available for $1.99.
