Fans of massively multiplayer online role-playing games such as Blizzard’s World of Warcraft, rejoice, as Gameloft released Order of Chaos for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad a couple of days ago.
Just like World of Warcraft, Order of Chaos is a real-time, 3D MMORPG. The game allows you to explore a vast heroic fantasy world, and create teams with tens of thousands of players across the world.
The game offers four races to choose from: Elves, Humans, Orcs and Undead. Elves and Humans fight for order, while Orcs and Undead fight for chaos. You can customize your characters (up to 4) with things like gender, appearance, class and talent – the game will allow you to have access to over 1000 skills and 2000 pieces of equipment to choose from.
Just like any good MMORPG, your actions and decisions will impact your characters’ progress directly. Order of Chaos will allow you to quickly make friends, as well as enemies, as interacting with others is an important part of the game: trade, communicate, form alliances and join guilds, or even challenge others, to complete the various quests available in the game.
The game is a blast, looks great, and is by far one of the best MMORPG ever released on the iPhone and the iPad. Order of Chaos is a universal app, and will set you back $6.99. To be able to join the game’s world, you will also need to pay a small subscription fee, after a free trial period of three months ($1 per month, $2 for three months, or $3 for six months).
