Dolphin Browser now Available on iPad

Mobile Safari is a great, simple browser that gets the job done. But if you’re looking for a more feature-rich app to browse the web, Apple’s default browser falls short in many categories, as it offers no social networks integration, and does not even allow users to save web pages for later use. About 2 weeks ago, iPhone users welcomed MoboTap’s new alternate solution for web browsing, an app named Dolphin Browser, initially built for Android devices. The browser enjoyed rave reviews, but was released on the iPhone only– today, MoboTap fixed this, as Dolphin Browser HD for iPad has just been released. If you’ve never heard about Dolphin Browser, the app is packed with great features such as tabbed browsing, single click bookmarking, support for gestures, a unique magazine layout, and many more. The app also features a ‘speed dial’, designed to save all your favorite sites and display them on the Home page– a great feature already available in Safari 5 for Mac and PC but never added to Mobile Safari.

To save a page for later use, the browser offers simple gestures to automatically do that. If you need to see what’s going on with your social network, simply hit the Home button, and you will be offered status updates from FaceBook and Twitter. And if you happen to be a fan of RSS feeds, the Home page will also display them automatically, in a Flipboard-like fashion. Best of all, Dolphin Browser HD is a free iPad app. More details about this awesome browser here.
