Ad Hawk was produced by the nonpartisan nonprofit Sunlight Foundation. The app helps Americans know who spends money to influence their votes by providing valuable contextual information about the TV and radio ads they see during the 2012 elections.

Note: During the initial app launch, you will be asked to allow location services. We collect anonymous location information with one-mile accuracy to improve our database of where political ads are airing and to identify slight variations across media markets. This is off by default and can easily be enabled later in the app settings. Your contributions could help improve the database for everyone. Thanks!
