Find the direction to the closest broadcasting site within seconds. Take you out from the guess work of adjusting a TV antenna direction. Antenna Helper is popularly used by professional installers, caraveners and DIYers.
The app uses your device's GPS and the magnetometer to find nearby over-the-air analogue, digitial TV (DTV) and HDTV signals and assists you choosing the bearing to the correct direction. Information provided by the app includes compass bearings to signals (direction), distance to signal towers, TV channel numbers, RF channel numbers, elevation, and frequency bands (UHV, Hi-V, Lo-V).
The app includes a database of all the transmitters and broadcasting sites parametres that covered the whole United States so it can work without an Internet connection.
Database comes from Federal Communications Commission and includes:
2,759 broadcasting sites
19,488 transmitters including analogue, digital televisions, booster and low-power stations
