Apple just released a new version of iTunes, dubbed version 10.4. The new version of the software adds several improvements to the app, and more importantly, offers full compatibility with OS X Lion.
For the first time since its introduction over ten years ago, the app has been completely written in Cocoa, and fully embraces the 64-bit mode of OS X – note that you’ll need to have Lion installed to take advantage of that mode.
iTunes 10.4 is also able to leverage OS X Lion’s new Full-Screen App capabilities, to allow users to use iTunes without being distracted by other apps.
The new version of iTunes is available via Software Update, or can be downloaded
