WHAT'S CTR?
CTR stands for cardiothoracic ratio. It's the ratio of the diameter of the heart at its widest point to the maximum width of the thoracic cavity, assessed by a chest X-ray. The normal ratio is less than 50%. Possible causes of a ratio greater than 50% include:-cardiac failure-pericardial effusion-left or right ventricular hypertrophy.

ABOUT THIS APP
This is an App for measuring CTR. Take a photo of chest X-ray with your iPhone or iPad, set 4 sliders, then you can get CTR.
You don't need a ruler and a calculator any more.

HOW TO USE
1. Click the camera icon and take a photo of chest X-ray. Or click the load icon and choose a photo.
2. Pan the photo with your finger if necessary. You can also rotate the photo with two fingers.
3. Set the blue sliders at the widest points of the inside rib margin, and the red sliders at the most rightward and leftward borders of the heart. Now CTR is calculated.

NOTE
This App is compatible with iPad2, but not with the first generation iPad, because camera function is essential.
