classroom is free for this week only!

With 4 key features that are made specifically for education, classroom is the essential app for the students. Because it was conceptualized, designed and programmed by a student, classroom is specifically tailored for the needs of students. With classroom, you can have your notebook, calendar, and calculator and more in one app.

The first feature of classroom is the notebook.
The notebook is where you take down handwritten notes. Classroom comes with 5 notebooks, so you can take notes in a different notebook for each subject. The notebook comes with several different color options, so you can keep notes organized and be expressive. In addition, the notebook also comes with a smart highlighter that ignores existing lines, so after highlighting, your writing doesn't become blurred or foggy. Also in the notebook are 2 different sharing options, one is to export to an email, and the other is for saving notes to your iPad's photo library. The notebook on iPad also supports Papers, an online library of more than 100 different paper colors, styles, and designs. The notebook on iPad also has a triangle on the left side that reveals the sidebar, where you can access the other three features of classroom from within a note. When using a stylus on the iPad, you may want to rest your palm on the screen, so to ignore unintentional stray marks and lines, pull up the palm rest with the slider on the left. And, if handwritten notes aren't for you, use the documents feature, it's the notebook for typed notes.

The second feature is the calendar.
With the calendar, you can type out your homework by subject. Each subject is editable, so you can customize the subjects to match your schedule. Also available in the calendar is the ability to create new events that will save to your iPad's existing calendars.

The third feature is quick notes.
Quick notes are notes for everything else. You can quickly type out reminders, assignments, important dates, or anything else you need to keep track of. You can make as many quick notes as you want. Quick Notes are for anything that isn't homework, but isn't for your notebook either.

The last feature of classroom is a calculator.
The calculator does all the basics. Add, subtract, multiply and divide. But, the calculator also comes packed with shortcuts that let you square numbers, cube numbers, take the square root of numbers, use constants like pi, e, and ohm. Plus, sine, cosine, and tangent are also there to use in the calculator.

On iPad, you can also stay organized by pinning up to three of your most important pages and documents, and up to two homework assignments to your desktop on the home screen.

So that's classroom, the app specifically made for students.
Our verdict: Good
  • + classroom is a highly rated app (4-star).
  • + The app is currently free, instead of its regular price of $0.99.
