The Touch Pad

Arctic Whiteness
[ This app is no longer available for download ]

This is the companion application for 'The Touch' - an application for Mac (sold separately) that provides superior gesture support for selected software, starting with Adobe's Lightroom 4 and Apple's Final Cut Pro X.

As an alternative option to using a trackpad, The Touch Pad connects to the The Touch on your Mac to provide a touch surface for the gestures provided by the Mac application.

The Touch has been designed specifically to help you keep your eyes on your work an off of the user interface. Once connected there are no interface elements on the iPad screen that you'll access - the link between your fingers and your creation will as effortless as possible.

A proprietary network protocol ensures that your gestures are sent as quickly as possible to provide for the most accurate control.

Final Cut Pro X gestures include:

* Full control over color grading that has to be tried to be believed. There's no searching for the various pucks with your mouse, and no need to take your eye's from your film. Slow movements give you extra precision while fast movements still allow you to move the pucks across the color board.

* Swipes for transport control and a panning gesture for scrubbing image by image at your own speed. In and Out points are also easy to add during a scrub operation.

* Various gestures for adding, deleting and moving between markers.

* Move the entire timeline with one simple gesture, while simultaneously zooming in and out of it.

* Convenient swipes for accessing the various scopes.

Lightroom gestures include:

* Intuitive control of the essential sliders in the Develop module. There's no more need to hunt for these sliders, you can now keep your eyes on the image and control the entire histogram using your fingers. Moving your fingers slowly will give you more precise control than you have using the mouse.

* The ability to move between the Library and the Develop Module with the tap of your fingers.

* A number of useful swipes and gestures for assigning flags and ratings.

* The ability to develop your images in Light's Out mode!
